Website Use
By using this website, you agree to use it lawfully and not attempt to interfere with its operation, gain unauthorized access, submit malicious material or misuse its forms and communications.
Not Legal Advice
Website content is general information about process-service operations and is not legal advice. Valley Process Service does not act as your attorney. Questions about legal rights, deadlines, court rules or the proper method of service should be directed to a qualified attorney or the appropriate court.
Preliminary Estimates
Quick Quote results are preliminary estimates, not binding quotes or guarantees. They are based on the address and service tier submitted. Final pricing may change because of address accuracy, access conditions, rural or seasonal travel, additional attempts, document volume, deadlines, waiting time or other assignment-specific circumstances.
No Assignment Until Confirmed
Submitting an online form, sending documents or receiving an automated email does not by itself guarantee acceptance of an assignment. Service is accepted only after Valley Process Service reviews and confirms the request. Do not assume a deadline is being handled until you receive confirmation.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate documents, addresses, party information, deadlines and lawful instructions. Clients should promptly communicate changes that could affect an assignment.
Payment and Fees
Attorneys and law firms are invoiced upon completion of the requested work, unless other arrangements have been made in writing. Standard invoice terms are net 15 days from the invoice date. Fees for attempted service are earned upon the attempt being made, and an invoice reflecting completed work is not reduced because a case later settles, is dismissed or is otherwise resolved.
Private individuals submitting on their own behalf, without an attorney or law firm, are required to prepay at the time documents are submitted for intake, before service is attempted. Once documents are submitted and accepted into intake, this prepayment is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the underlying legal matter, including where:
- The parties settle or otherwise resolve the matter out of court;
- The case is dismissed, withdrawn or otherwise disposed of by the court or the parties;
- The client no longer wishes to proceed with service for any reason;
- The person to be served is later found, served through another method, or waives service; or
- Service is not ultimately required for any other reason.
This policy exists because Valley Process Service commits time and resources to a job upon intake — case review, scheduling, travel and attempted service — regardless of whether those efforts are later determined to have been needed. It is the client's responsibility to promptly notify Valley Process Service in writing if service is no longer needed; doing so does not create a right to a refund of amounts already prepaid, but may help avoid additional fees (such as rush fees, mileage or repeat attempts) going forward.

No Guaranteed Outcome
Valley Process Service does not guarantee that a person will be located, that access will be available, that service will be completed by a particular attempt or that a court will reach a particular conclusion. Performance depends on assignment facts and applicable requirements.
